Gary Clifford Gills

Gary Clifford Gills, 58, of Boones Mill went peacefully to his heavenly home. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Winston Gills and Nina McNamara. Gary worked as a stockroom supervisor for the VDOT Salem District. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, George Gills and father-in-law, Robert “Pops” Miller.

Surviving are his wife, Susan Gills; daughter, Mandi Gills; brother, Dan Gills (Margaret); sister, Nina Barton (Glenn); mother-in-law, Linda “Honey” Miller; sister-in-law, Libby Gills; several nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of Gary’s life will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke with Pastor Tom Hooks officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Lotz Funeral Home.

Burial will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Mills Family Cemetery.
