Gayle Nicely Richmond

Gayle Nicely Richmond, 76, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 2, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip C. Richmond; and her parents, Kyle Gene and Lola Nicely Thomas.

Gayle was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Renee' Richmond-Mills and husband Peter; son, Phillip Scott Richmond and wife Linda; grandchildren, Whitney, Bailee, Samuel, Chase, Sarah, and Eve; great grandchildren, Mason Hodges and Casey Fralin; brother, Kyle R. Thomas and wife Melody; and devoted cousins, Robin Pillis, Terry Elmore, and Sherry Campbell. Also surviving are friends too numerous to mention.

The family would like to offer a very special thank you to the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice, especially, Kathy, Sarah and Amandaa for their many acts of kindness during Gayle's illness.

A celebration of Gayle's life will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. Pastor Bobby Harris will officiate. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2022 in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday two hours prior to the service.
