Faye Davidson, age 91, of Ridgeway, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Faye was born November 12, 1930. Faye Davidson, age 91, of Ridgeway, VA, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Montie and Ethel Smythers Newman; husband, B.J. Davidson; sister, Mable Jennings. Faye is survived by her daughter; Judy Hodges (David); son, Ronald “Mack” Davidson; granddaughters, Terri Johnson (Phillip), Susan Wilson (Jerry); Great Grandsons, Drew Johnson and Matt Johnson; sisters, Dell Mabe and Mary Ann Griffin; brothers, Forest Newman (Virginia), Willard Newman, Lake Newman (Lola) and Gene Newman. Faye was born in Carroll County, November 12, 1930 and retired from Dupont in 1970. She was an active member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church for over 60 years where she served as Deacon, Elder, Sunday School Teacher, choir member and past CWF District President. Faye will be remembered for her cheerful disposition and loving, caring manner towards everyone. A service will be held at Collins Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Drive, Bassett, VA, Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 12:00 PM with visitation at 11:00 AM.
