John Edgar Shelton, Jr.

John Edgar Shelton, Jr., 73, of Patrick Springs, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at his home. He was born on February 21, 1949 in Patrick County to the late John Edgar Shelton, Sr. and the late Florence Reynolds Shelton.
John is a US Army Veteran.
John is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Brenda Fay Shelton; step-daughters, Virginia Faye Bowling (Jeff) and Lisa Ann Marlow both of Bassett; step-granddaughter, Tabatha Bowling of Bassett; step-grandson, Nathaniel Eggleston of Bassett; brothers, Jimmy Shelton of Patrick Springs and Garland Shelton (Karen) of Kernersville, NC; sisters, Kathy Holt (Jack) of Collinsville and Gloria Emler (Sherman) of Martinsville; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Stella Christian Church in Patrick Springs.  A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Stella Christian Church with Pastor Steve Hayes officiating.  Burial will follow Stella Christian Church Cemetery.
