James Thomas Turner

James Thomas Turner, 67, of Martinsville, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born May 17, 1954 in Martinsville, to the late George Lewis Turner and Maxine Ross Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Evans Turner.

He attended Martinsville High School and had been employed by Nautica for six years.

James is survived by his daughter, Africa Hamlett (Quinton); sisters, Ruth Carter (Lamont), Barbara Turner, Mays Turner, Sharon Turner and Dorothy Turner; brothers, Lynwood Turner and George Turner; two grandchildren, Quintaja Hamlett and Quintaiz Hamlett; and one great-grandchild, Caden Morehead.

The graveside service will be Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Carver Memorial Gardens with Bishop E. Dillard officiating.
