Emma Mae Lucas Clark
Emma Mae Lucas Clark, age 77 of Roanoke, Virginia was born Auguest 18, 1944 in Salem, Virginia and went to be with the Lord on March 4th, 2022.
Emma was born in Salem, Virginia and was adopted by James and Nettie Lucas. Emma graduated from Marion H.S. in 1963 and entered the Airforce in 1964. She served with pride in Wiesbaden, Germany, during the Vietnam War. Emma's M.O.S. was in communications with a Crypto Clearance level of security. In 1982, Emma began to volunteer as an assistant with Boy Scout troop 49 and helped many young men to attain the rank of Eagle Scout. Emma's greatest employment was with American Electric Power becoming the first female in AEP, to attain Substaion Mechanic A, later a Station Servicer, for 32 years until her retirement in 2007. Emma is survived by her son Marshall and Nannette Clark (wife), grandsons Ethan Clark and Chance Mathenia, granddaughter Samantha Clark, special cousins Larry and Judy Henley.
The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
Pastor Terry Shaw of Healing Word Ministries will officiate the funeral service at Lotz Funeral Home, 1330 E Main St, Salem, VA 24153 on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Burial with military honors will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.
