Sammy Joe Handy, 62, of Bassett, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at his home. He was born on July 10, 1959 in Bassett to the late William Handy and the late Alice Helms Handy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pam Foster.
Sammy is survived by his wife, Freda Spence Handy; brothers, Kenny Handy (Joan) and Donnie Handy; step-children, Roger Lee Coleman and Danielle McCroskey; step-grandchildren, Cole McCroskey, Cameron Bowman and Rebecca Bowman Florio.
All services will be private.
