Pearlie Virginia Jones Moore

October 26, 1928 - March 10, 2022

Pearlie Virginia Jones Moore, 93, of Appomattox, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Lynchburg General Hospital. For 61 years, she was the loving wife of the late William Frank Moore.
Born in Campbell County, Va., on October 26, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Maggie Estelle Nash and Pearlie Johnson Jones. She was a life-time member of Central Baptist Church. For many years she served as secretary of the family business, W. Frank Moore Trucking and helped alongside her family on the family farm.
She is survived by her children and loving caregivers, W. K. “Billy” Moore and wife, Peggy, Margaret M. Scruggs and husband, L. A., and Frank Wayne Moore and girlfriend, Debra Orr; six grandchildren, Alan Scruggs and wife, Anne, Tracey S. Carter and husband, Alan, Kenneth Moore and fiancée, Amy Ferris, Robert Moore and wife, Ashley, Matt Moore and wife, Mindy, and Angela Moore; 10 great-grandchildren, Jessie S. Creekmore and husband, Galen, Josie Scruggs, Hunter Carter and fiancée, Allie Sparrer, Tanner Carter, Gaige Moore, Brynleigh Moore, Colton Moore, Caselynn Moore, Alax Moore, and Whaylon Hall; a brother-in-law, Russell w. Moore; sisters-in-law, Bethel Moore and Pat Moore; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In accordance with Virginia’s wishes, a graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Central Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Rev. David Blevins.
