Violet Turner Frith

iolet Turner Frith, 87, of Bassett, VA, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born July 9, 1934 to the late Grenville Conway Turner and Dovie Morrison Turner. In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by two sisters, Elva T. Wilshire and June T. Franklin. Violet is survived by her true love and husband of 67 ½ years, Ray D. Frith; her two beloved children, Lance D. Frith and Marie F. Anderson; her grand-daughter Alexandra S. Anderson and several nieces and nephews. Violet was employed by DuPont until she had her children and turned her focus to raising them. She loved her family, loved to travel and was an avid bridge player for over 60 years. Violet was the epitome of class, elegance and grace. She lived a wonderful and full life full of joy and happiness and always gave unfailingly to those around her. She will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed. The family would like to thank Violet’s caregivers and extended family; Nancy Hairston, Brenda King, Tabatha Minnick, Patricia Handy, Jane Stone, Beth Howell and Tammy Franklin. A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 1:00PM at Oak Level Baptist Church with a memorial service at 2:00PM. The funeral service will be officiated by Reverend L. Grant Carter III and Reverend Tim Christian. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, Oak Level Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
