Dolores B. Snead
Surrounded by her family, our earthly angel, Dolores Snead, transitioned to a heavenly angel on Friday, March 25, 2022.
Dolores was devoted to her family. She was an excellent seamstress, cook, gardener and a voracious reader. She had a remarkable recall of people and history.
She was born on July 16, 1932, a daughter of the late Kermit and Mamie Wood Bowling. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Wilbert and Eldren; and a sister-in-law, Pat.
Surviving are her husband of 71 years, Thomas Elmer Snead; daughters, Teresa (Kenneth) Curran, and Trudy Brown; grandchildren, Jason Mullins and Traci (Chris) Gregory; great-grandchildren, Henry, William, Caroline, and James Gregory; sister-in-law, Bernice Bowling; niece, Lisa (Johnny) Harper.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Long Branch Primitive Baptist Church or charity of your choice.
The family has requested and encourages the use of facial masks.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2022 with Elder Mark Terry officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The Snead family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:30 up until the service.
