Melanie Alice Spencer Glenn

Melanie Alice Spencer Glenn, 31, of Bassett, died Sunday, March 27, 2022. She was born in Martinsville on June 16, 1990. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Anthony Butski, Jr. and an aunt, Moleta Spencer Howell.

She is survived by her children, Zailey’elle Glenn, Rylan Glenn, Giselle Jervis; her father and step-mother, Mark and Lisa Spencer; her mother and step-father, Kimberly and Jackie Crawford; brother, Matthew Spencer (Mackensie); step-brothers, Hunter Crawford (Abigail), Jamie Crawford (Courtney); grandparents, John and Louise Spencer and Barbara Sowder; uncle, Danny Spencer (Heather); three nieces and two nephews.

The family will receive friends at the home of John and Louise Spencer, 375 Springhouse Lane, Bassett, Virginia. A visitation will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 6 – 8 PM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 1, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Dr. David Towler officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
