Anna Josephine Conley Sparks

ANNA JOSEPHINE CONLEY SPARKS, 95, of Rocky Gap, VA, went to be with the Lord she served on Monday, April 11, 2022. She was born September 10, 1926 in Giles County, VA, the daughter of the late Wiley Wilson & Claudia Mae Niday Conley.
Josephine was a giving, loving and God fearing woman who had a strong faith and loved people. She was a founding member of the Conley Hollow Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a caregiver who cared for her husband, many family members and friends. She loved her family and will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Roscoe Ernest Sparks, Sr., her sons, Wiley Ethan (“Sonny”) Sparks, Maury David Sparks and Leslie Kenneth Sparks, her daughters, Beverly Carol (“Sissy”) Lawson, Sandra Louise Buchanan, and Edith Arlene Sparks, six brothers and five sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Roscoe Ernest (“Boy”) Sparks, Jr.; her sister, Juanita Potts; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. at the King’s Way Pentecostal Holiness Church, Wolf Creek, with Rev. Tony Robertson and Rev. Steve Leonard officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bradley Cemetery, Lindside, WV.  The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 A.M. until service time, 12:00 P.M.
