Autumn Brooke Bushman

Autumn Brooke Bushman, 10, of Roanoke passed away Friday, March 21, 2025.  She was a vivacious and warm-hearted child whose smile had the power to light up any room. Her infectious laugh and wonderful sense of humor brought joy to those around her, making every moment brighter. A girl with deep empathy, she was soft-hearted and always ready to lend a listening ear or offer support. At the same time, she possessed a competitive spirit, constantly striving to do her best in everything she pursued. Cheer, track, dance, and archery were her favorite extracurricular activities. Her ability to think deeply and reflect on life's complexities at such a young age added a layer of thoughtfulness to her personality. Her grandparents are credited with imparting much wisdom and common sense. Above all, her love for family and friends ran deep, and she always prioritized the well-being and happiness of her loved ones. From shopping trips with mom to wrestling matches with dad, she leaves countless memories for her parents to cherish.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving parents, Mark and Summer Bushman; brother and sister, Jake Theis and Allie Smart; grandparents, Bill Bushman (Sharon) and Dennis Owens (Terry); aunts and uncles, John Bushman (Kristie), Matt Bushman (Jourdan ), Jennifer Slate (Devin) and Molly Owens Mortimore (Tommy); nieces, Ashlyn, Madison and Adalyn; her close friends, Anthony Smart, Jenny Prickitt and Lennox; and many other close friends and teachers.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 9:00 pm, Friday, March 28, 2024, at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke.  A Celebration of Autumn’s life will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Lotz Funeral Home, Roanoke with Pastor Bryce Stout officiating.  Burial will be private.
