Barbara Adams Blake

Barbara Adams Blake, 89, of Fieldale, VA passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Sovah Health in Martinsville, VA. She was born April 2, 1934, in Fieldale, VA to the late John Robert Adams and Carrie Gilley Adams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Kathleen “Kitty” Adams, Wilma A. Hodges, and Sandra A. Hunt; and brothers, John Wayne Adams and Robert Adams.

She retired from DuPont with 38 years of service. She was a member of Chatham Heights Baptist Church.

Ms. Blake is survived by her sister, Mary “Trixie” Van Hook, and several nieces and a nephew.

A funeral will be held Friday, January 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services. A visitation will be held one hour prior. Dr. Michael Hatfield will be officiating the service. A burial will follow the service at Roselawn Burial Park.
