Barbara Ann Massie

Barbara Ann Massie, 79, of Amherst, went to be with her Lord on Monday, December 8, 2025.

Born on March 3, 1946, in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Wilmer and Pauline Neff. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Elsworth Neff.

Barbara had a strong faith in the Lord and was a member of the Appomattox Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an excellent cook and was happiest when she was with her family and loved spoiling them with delicious meals. Her kind, generous, and sweet spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Julian S. Massie, Sr.; daughter, Diane Honaker (Dustin); son, Bobby Cobb (Michelle); granddaughters, Cynthia (Dustin), Allie and Kimberly; great grandchildren, Elaina and Daniel; two brothers, Larry and Richard Neff; and stepson, Sherman Massie (Rosa).

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
