Barbara Harris Fenwick

Barbara Harris Fenwick, 79, of Rustburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

Born on October 1, 1945, in Lynchburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late William H. Harris and Minnie C. Harris. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, William L. Fenwick.

Barbara devoted her life to her family as a homemaker and stay-at-home mother. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life—tending to her flower beds, watching the birds and deer from her window, and caring for her beloved pets. She had a love for quilting, crafts, reading, and movies, and she admired the beauty of lighthouses. Her gentle spirit and appreciation for nature and family will be remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her three children, Scott Fenwick, Adam Fenwick (Debbie), and Becky Provo (Alan); one brother, James Harris; six grandchildren, Emily Smith (Jonathan), Kenneth Shively, Sarah Provo, Alexis Fenwick, Christopher Provo, and Abigayle Fenwick; two great-grandchildren, Landen Smith and Daxtin Smith; her sister-in-law, Helen Cook; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Cumbie Memorial Cemetery in Rustburg, with Pastor Marvin Buise officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Campbell County Animal Control, 322 Dennis Riddle Dr., Rustburg, VA 24588, honoring Barbara’s lifelong love of animals.
