Barbara Jane McCoy

Barbara Jane McCoy, 76, of Bassett, Va., passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024. She was born January 23, 1948, in Galax, Va., to the late Sarah Elizabeth Crotts Anthony and Edward Lee Anthony. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her eldest sister, Linda Elizabeth Gallimore.

Barbara worked at the furniture company in many positions throughout her employment. When not hard at work, Barbara enjoyed puzzles of any kind but especially word search puzzles. She was very proud of her Cherokee heritage and enjoyed collecting Native American dolls and dreamcatchers. She also enjoyed camping at Dominion Valley Park during the gospel singing revivals

Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of almost 40 years, Paul Dennis McCoy; her sister, Chris Burgess; and many other family members and friends. She will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 2:00pm at Wayside Holiness Tabernacle, Pine Valley Road, Bassett, VA, 24055.
