Barbara Jean Hall

Barbara Jean Hall, 77, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herbert Preston Hall, Sr.; her parents, William and Eva Paxton; and her sisters, Judy Dawson, Joanne Summitt, Linda Scalf, and Kathy Laprade.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Herbert Preston Hall, Jr. (Stephanie), Gary Hall, and Wendy Tuck (Frank); her cherished grandchildren, Andrew Hall, Mark Hall, Gage Hall, Gavin Hawkins, Mikayla Hall, Sarah Hall, and Zoey Hall; her sister, Charlotte Goff; and her brother, William Paxton (Rebecca).

Barbara was a loving wife, devoted mother, and proud “Mawmaw.” She will be remembered as an extraordinary woman whose life centered around family. She found joy in caring for her loved ones and always made sure those around her felt supported and loved.

In her free time, Barbara enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. A good word search puzzle, a friendly game of Phase 10 or playing solitaire, and listening to her favorite country music. Her warmth and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home Roanoke on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 12:00 until 1:00 pm.

A funeral service will be held at Lotz Funeral Home Roanoke on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 1:00 pm with Pastor David Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
