Benjamin Cole Philpott

Benjamin Cole Philpott, 80, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Monday, April 17, 2023, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born April 13, 1943, in Giles County, Virginia, to the late Paul Peck Philpott and Clara Bell Cole Philpott. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He had been employed by DuPont as an Electrician and later retired as a truck driver. He was a member of the Ridgeway Rescue Squad and enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. He is survived by his wife, Marie Thomas Philpott; sons, Gregory Scott Philpott and Paul Joseph Philpott; special daughter, Brenda Lawson; sister, Bonnie Leisge; brother, Myron Philpott; and grandchildren, Risa Philpott, Matthew Philpott and Rachel Rothmann. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 3:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, 1425 Greensboro Road, Martinsville, Virginia, with Pastor Michael Brady officiating. Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will be private. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
