Benjamin Rodney Marston

Benjamin Rodney Marston, 64, husband of Scott Johnson, transitioned from this life to the next on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, with his husband by his side. He was the son of Benny and Jerleen Marston. Rodney was the owner and operator of Marston Salon for 32 years. He and Scott were together for 37 years and married for 16 of those years.

In addition to his husband and his parents, he will be missed and remembered by his sister, Susan Adams and her husband, Jimmy; brother, Allen Marston and his wife Jessica; nephews, Zach Adams, Derek Adams, and Caleb Marston; niece, Sarah Marston; great nephews and niece, Leighton Adams and Huck Adams, Oaklynn Marston and Grey Marston; as well as many wonderful friends and clients too numerous to list. 

Services to celebrate Rodney’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Unity of Roanoke Valley, with Rev. Luz Lecor officiating.
