Benjamin Travis Wright
Benjamin Travis Wright, 53, of Madison Heights, Virginia, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Sullivan Wright.
Ben was a dedicated and hardworking individual, having spent many years employed at Mail America. Outside of his professional life, he was known for his boundless love of music and his passion for the Grateful Dead. He was a regular attendee of concerts and festivals, where he embraced the joy and community of the Peace, Love, and Happiness movement. His enthusiasm for life and music was contagious, and he brought light to every room he entered.
A celebration of Ben’s life will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. The family invites all who knew and loved Ben to join them in honoring his memory. In true Ben fashion, guests are encouraged to dress casually and, if possible, wear Tie-Dye to pay tribute to his love of the Grateful Dead.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to make a memorial contribution consider St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or the Amherst County Animal Shelter (www.amherstanimalshelter.org).
Ben’s spirit will live on through the music he cherished, the memories he created, and the love he shared with all who had the privilege of knowing him.
