Bernice Elizabeth Sandidge

Bernice Elizabeth “Sandie” Sandidge, age 52, of 177 Tinkerview Drive, Cloverdale, Virginia died on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke.
She was born November 4, 1972 in Clifton Forge to the late Justice Connie Sandidge, Sr. and Virginia Ellen Godfrey Sandidge.
She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for Springtree Health and Rehabilitation Center in Roanoke. She enjoyed her work, but especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by a sister, Debra Kay Cooper.
She is survived by her significant other, David White of Roanoke; a daughter, Brittany Sandidge and a son, Antwon Pierce, both of Botetourt County; four brothers, Allen Brandon Godfrey (Lisa), Justice Connie Sandidge, Jr. (Deneen), Jeffrey Darnell Sandidge (Shelly), and Michael Wayne Godfrey (Laurie); six sisters, Wanda Faye Smothers, Virginia Ann Bannister, Robin Lynn Sandidge, Tammie Renee Sandidge, Pearlie Earsiel Mayo, and Cathy Marie Reynolds (Aaron); four grandchildren, Briana, Sophia, Jacien, and Addisyn; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a special aunt, Kathleen Bernice Robinson.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Pastor Stephanie Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be selected from friends and family attending the service.
The family will receive friends on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
