Betty Ann Boothe Koger

Betty Ann Boothe Koger, 91, of Fieldale, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 31, 1934, in Virginia to the late James Edward Boothe Sr. and Mattie Louise Boothe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Koger; sons, Barry Koger and Harvey Koger; and brothers, Joel, Lawrence, Carl, Harold, Paul, Walter, J.E., and Billy Boothe; and sisters, Sarah Hylton, Kathleen Allen, Doris Via Sigmon, and Clara Greene.

Betty was a member of Valley Drive Church, where she faithfully served for over 50 years. Her faith and her church family were central to her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose loving spirit touched all who knew her. Betty enjoyed gospel music, fellowship, and dancing bringing joy wherever she went.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan Koger Blankenship (Don), Pam Koger Gilley (Randy), Trish Koger Bullock (C.B.), and Edna Mae Koger; sons, Carl Edward Koger (Damita) and Jonathan Paul Koger; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and other family member and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Valley Drive Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Rakes and Rev. Jared Austin, officiating. Interment will follow at the Koger Family Cemetery.
