Betty Beasley Bowman

Mrs. Betty Frances Beasley Bowman, age 80 of Claudville, VA, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. She was born in Patrick County, VA on April 2, 1945, to the late Benjamin Mays Beasley and Lizzie Frances Lawson Beasley. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Norman “Cherokee” Odell Bowman of the home, son, Norman Scott Bowman and Dawn Easter; grandchildren, Olivia Wilson and Hagen Wilson; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret Beasley Matthews and Bobby; sister-in-law, Sheila Beasley; and many other family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her brother, James Glenn Beasley. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Mr. Rick Mann and Mr. Mike Shoaf officiating. Burial will follow in the Church of Christ Cemetery ~ Dry Pond. The family will receive friends at Moody’s on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 12:30 PM until time of the service. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
