Betty Finney Kendrick

Betty Finney Kendrick, 86, of Callands, VA, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024. Betty was born on March 29, 1938 in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Ruby Holley Finney and the late Clarence E. Finney. She was also predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Mr. Harry L. Kendrick.

Betty was of the Christian Faith, and was a lifelong member of County Line Christian Church. She was also a member of the Single Sisters Group, and had a special love for flowers.

Betty is survived by a daughter; Tonya Crider and husband Henry of Danville, VA; a son; Tim Kendrick of Callands VA; three grandchildren; Meagan Kendrick Baker (Chris), Tara Dawn Kendrick, and Hannah Crider Stowe (Matt); two great grandchildren; Ella James Baker and Crider Stowe; and special dog; Bentley Grace.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was predeceased by a brother; Mr. Jimmy C. Finney.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to County Line Christian Church, 12711 Chatham Road, Axton, VA 24054.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 2:00pm at County Line Christian Church, 12711 Chatham Road, Axton, VA 24054 with Minister Dean Ashby officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on the same day previous to the service from 1-2:00pm, also at the church. At other times the family will receive friends at the residence.
