Beulah Colemia Lowe Hodges Shaw

Mrs. Beulah Colemia Lowe Hodges Shaw, age 95, formerly of Lowgap, passed away June 19, 2024, at her residence in Salisbury. She was born in Surry County on November 1, 1928, to the late John Corby and Elver Mattie Richardson Lowe. Mrs. Shaw was a very faithful servant of Christ and loved to tend to her flower gardens. Even at the age of 95, she still would drive and do things on her own. In March of 1946 she married the love of her life and the father of her children Mr. William Franklin Hodges. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Reggie Gobble; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Bobbie Hodges; 5 special grandchildren; 3 very special great grandchildren; one sister, Rachel Carpenter. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shaw was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin Hodges; 2 sisters, Blanch Moss, Mabel Hawks. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 24, 2024, at 11 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Woody Flippen officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday June 24, 2024, at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Fishers Gap Primitive Church. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Moody’s of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Shaw family.
