Beverly Ann Taylor
Beverly Ann Taylor, 66, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. She was born March 11, 1957, in Martinsville to the late Beverly Warren Padgett and Nadine Shelton Padgett.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wayne Taylor and their daughter, Brandy Lynn Taylor.
Beverly drove a bus for Henry County Public Schools until she became disabled in 2000.
Beverly lived life to its fullest. She took great pride in describing her life as “wide ass open”. She was stubborn, headstrong, and lived life by her own rules.
She was known for her sarcastic sense of humor and her extensive knowledge of current tabloid gossip. While binge watching her favorite shows or surfing the internet, she made sure to have her cigarettes, Pepsi, and BC powders.
A person could not even begin to put into words how much her grandchildren meant to her. They were her absolute pride and joy. Her favorite thing in the world was when one of her grandbabies called her “the bestest Nanny”. Nobody could have ever convinced her that one of her grandchildren was anything less than perfect.
She is survived by her daughters, Shonna Woods (Theron) and Kacy Patterson (John); grandchildren, Corey Kellam, Jason Patterson (Agar Hernandez), and Jordan Patterson; a great granddaughter, Juliana Patterson; and a sister, Lynn Hager (Tommy); as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13 from 4pm-5pm at Wright Funeral Services and Crematory in Martinsville.
