Beverly Reed Kanode

Beverly Reed Kanode (Bebie) passed away February 8, 2025. Bebie was a wonderful, loving person that would give you her last dime. Bebie had 20 years with the United States Postal Service.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roger (Rocky) Kanode; and parents, Walter and Laura Reed.

Bebie is survived by her loving son, Christopher Todd Kanode; daughter-in-law, Kim Kanode; a cherished grandson, Jonathan Kanode. Bebie was a second mother to Eric Underwood and wife Dawn, Chad Williams and wife Malory, Phillip and Jeff Johnston, and Jon Morris and wife, Trina. She was a beloved sister to her sisters, Lil Evans, Mary French and her husband, Mike, and Marcy Miller and her husband Richard; and to one spoiled brother, Walter Reed Jr. She also leaves behind nephews, Mitch Reed and wife Jodi, Richie Miller and wife Wendy; niece Kayla Antonelli and husband Marco; two special friends, Sharon Suydam and husband, Paul, Elaine Cook and husband Dan; and many great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Giles County Sheriff’s Office 911 Center Staff; Narrows Fire Department First Responders; Carilion Giles Community Ambulance Service; Giles Lifesaving and Rescue Squad; Town of Narrows Police Department for First responding and for your quick response and efforts with our sister and beloved Bebie.
