Billie Radford Cline

Billie Radford Cline, 79, of Blacksburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a brief battle with lung cancer. Born on August 30, 1945, in Endicott, Virginia, Billie was the daughter of Palmer and Minnie Elsie Radford. She graduated from Blacksburg High School and went on to earn her degree from Radford University in 1967. On December 27, 1970, she married the love of her life, Robert Cline, and together they built a life rooted in love and family, raising two children. Billie dedicated much of her professional life to serving others through her work with the Virginia Extension Office, with positions in Front Royal and Harrisonburg. She spent the majority of her career at the 4-H Extension office at Virginia Tech, where she touched countless lives with her compassion, guidance, and commitment to youth development. She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Robert Cline; her children, Matt Cline of Blacksburg, VA, and Erin Cline (Ryan Furey) of Charlotte, NC; and her cherished grandchildren, Faith Emily Cline of Blacksburg, and Megan Elizabeth Furey and Justin Michael Furey of Charlotte, NC. Billie will be remembered for her warmth, her quiet strength, and her unwavering love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. The family has requested a closed casket. The family would also like to thank the medical professionals who helped her and the family during her journey. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.
