Billy Dean Buck

Billy Dean Buck, Jr., 69, of Fincastle, is finally free of pain thanks to the Lord’s grace and now in his eternal home, as of Tuesday, February 25, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Peggy Buck; infant brother, Charles Brady Buck; maternal and paternal grandparents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gene and Ruby Lee; and sister-in-law, Susan Lee.

Billy is survived by his loving wife of 44 years and 10 months and 8 days, Sharon Buck; brothers, David Buck and Danny Buck (Kenna); sisters-in-law, Shelby Huffman and Shirl’ Anderson; special nieces, Michelle Morris (James) and Ashley Lee (Thomas); very special great niece, Lily Grace Perkins, and many other nieces and nephews.

Billy was a handsome man with a great smile. Above all, Billy was just being Billy. He could make you laugh, make you cry, or make you want to pull your hair out. But, above all he cared. He endured many trials, yet the good Lord was always there to help him through every storm.

Things worsened in the end of 2024 with numerous hospital stays, yet God would always bring him back home. His wife, Sharon, also was in the hospital for a month, yet Billy was there for her. Billy and Sharon got to spend time together from January 28 of this year until February 25, when the Lord called Billy home.

Billy also bravely volunteered and served in the United States Army.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 1:00pm at Exalted Church, 8277 Sanderson Dr. Roanoke, VA 24019. All friends and family are welcome.
