Billy Frank Poindexter

Billy Frank Poindexter, 81, passed away on July 10, 2025. He was born on January 17, 1944, to the late Willie Frank Poindexter and Alice Bennett Poindexter. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Wayne Poindexter; and step-son-in-law, Eddie Coleman.

Billy honorably served in the United States Army Reserves for 24 years until he retired as a Sergeant First Class. He was a technician for Bassett Furniture and Stanley Bostitch. He was a member and clerk of Town Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

Billy is survived by his loving wife, Judith “Judy” Clifton Poindexter; stepchildren, Nova Lee Coleman and Gregory Lawson (Kristen); step-grandchild, Thomas Coleman; nieces, Cindy Hill (Scott) and Becky Collier (Chris); great-nieces, Ashton, Katie Ryan, Eliza, and Maggie; and great-nephew, Cooper.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Norris Funeral Services – Martinsville. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Norris Funeral Services – Martinsville, with Elder Zach Byrd officiating. A burial will follow the service at Roselawn Burial Park.

Memorials may be made to Town Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
