Billy Joe Kessler

Billy Joe Kessler, 76, passed away on July 18, 2024. He was born in Widden, WV on November 2, 1947, to the late Helen Charlotte Kessler. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mrs. Mary Lou Cook Kessler.

Billy was of the Christian Faith. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He worked for many years as a truck driver for Bennett Truck Transport, previous to his retirement.

In addition to his wife, Billy is survived by a daughter; Tracy Kessler Campbell; a brother; Roger Kessler; two sisters; Mary Jane Kessler and Patsy Sue Boarman; four grandchildren; Britney Mitchell, Nicole Root, Casey Campbell, and Daniel Campbell II; five great-grandchildren; Jaxon Root, Jason Root, Elaina Mitchell, Conner Mitchell, and Kyleigh Fuquay; as well as his special dogs; Chloe and Comet.

In addition to his mother, Billy Joe was predeceased by a daughter; Cindy Kessler as well as his dogs; Prissy, Sassy, and Roy.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Faith Memorial Baptist Church, 7450 Martinsville Highway, Danville, VA 24541 with Pastor Austin Merricks and Pastor Jordan Keatts officiating.
