Bobby Alvin Holland
Bobby A. Holland (Dr. Pepper) age 71 passed away Friday March 20, 2026. He is preceded in death by his father, Junior A. (Pete) Holland; mother, Ruby L. Pagans Holland; grandson, Brendyn G. Holland; and a whole host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is survived by his son, Greg Holland and wife Amanda, and the lights of his life, his two grandsons “My Boys” Fynlee Holland and Myles Holland. Also surviving are his uncle, Henry Pagans and wife Shirley; aunt, Nancy Holland; along with more cousins and friends than the internet has space to list!Bobby was a truck driver, always claimed he was glad to be out of that “old truck” but talked about being on the road all the time. He could tell you where a building supply was that was located in a small Texas town but never could learn his way around the neighborhood we lived in! He was a poker player, if you couldn’t find him chances are he was at the poker game or trying to match somebody walking into the store or sitting in his recliner talking on the phone to his buddy’s about trucking or poker playing! His favorite thing to be was Papa, he loved his grandsons more than anything else, keeping popsicles in the freezer and plenty of Dr. Peppers, buying bags of candy’s and chocolates, and always trying to out do the tooth fairy! The family would like to thank everyone who called him, visited him, made food and prayed for him!Graveside services will be held at Mt. Ivy Christian Church Cemetery, 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026 with Steve Pasley, Minister officiating. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
