Bobby "Bob" Gene Wright

Bobby “Bob” Gene Wright, 92, passed away on June 21, 2023. He was born in Charlotte, NC on September 15, 1930 to the late Naomi Louise Whitner Wright and the late Joseph Wright. He is survived by his loving wife Virginia Dalton Wright.

Bob was a member of Third Avenue Christian Church. He worked as a sales rep. for Bethlehem Steel Corporation and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was also a member of the American Legion and a member of the Republican Party.

Bob is survived by his wife, son; Bobby G. Wright Jr., daughter; Susan Gail Beaver (Robert), brother; Steve Wright of Danville, VA, grandchildren; Jennifer, Ashley (Ryan), Heather, five great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother; Joseph “Jack” Wright, sisters; Helen Wiles, Carolyn W. Brinchfield.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA.

A funeral will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 2:00PM at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA with Pastor Lee Rigsby officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park.
