Bobby Byrns Crocker

November 14, 1944 - January 4, 2026

Mr. Bobby Byrns Crocker, age 81, of Pilot Mountain passed away Sunday, January 4, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Crocker was born in Forsyth County on November 14, 1944, to the late Alphonza Crocker and Mary Long Crocker. Mr. Crocker was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a brick mason for many years and was a faithful member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Sandy Wilcox; son-in-law, Jimmy Lawson, Sr.; grandchildren, Dwayne Lawson and Crystal, Amber Wilcox and Adam Westmoreland, Dillon Wilcox and Carissa, Bruce Lawson and Kristen, Dakota Wilcox and Sarah, Jimmy Lawson Jr. and Kimberly, Austin Lawson and Keira Mullins; 13 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Sue Chilton Crocker; daughter, Mary Lynn Lawson. A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Pardue officiating. There will not be any formal visitation. Friends and family are welcome to come by Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 6:00PM to view Mr. Crocker. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Moodys of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Crocker family.
