Bobby Gene Pruitt

Bobby Gene Pruitt, 82, of Stuart, VA passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at his home. He was born on August 8, 1941, in Henry County, VA to the late Martha Stegall Harris Pruitt and Joe Pruitt, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Deel; sisters, Mamie Pruitt Case and Ann Pruitt Bowers; half-sisters, Oretha Harris Pruitt, and Ruby Harris McDaniel Talley; brother, Joe Pruitt, Jr.; half-brothers, Thomas Harris, Walter Harris and Leonard Harris; and his granddaughter, Ashley Pickard.

Mr. Pruitt was a member of Fieldale United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Pam Pruitt (Susan); son, Mike Pickard; stepchildren, Andy Deel, and Geneva Lawrence; sister, Evelyn Burgess; grandchildren, Jessica Pickard, and Tiffany Pickard; also surviving are five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Norris Funeral Services. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Norris Funeral Services with Pastor David Deisher officiating. A burial will follow the service at Pruitt-Harris-Stegall Family Cemetery in Axton, VA.
