Bobby Gordon Holland

Bobby Gordon Holland, 82, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023. Mr. Holland was born June 7, 1941, in Eden, NC to the late William Helsey Holland and the late Ruby Gordon O’Dell Holland Powell.

Mr. Holland proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Bobby attended Westover Baptist Church and was the Head of the Marine Corps Toys for Tots in Danville. He retired after 33 years at Corning Glass as the Maintenance Manager.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Holley Holland; daughters, Jacqueline Holland Quesenberry (Tom), and Kerri Holland Wilson (Todd); grandchildren, Aubrey Swanson, Jacob Quesenberry (Jessi), Sydney Quesenberry (Caleb), Stormy Harris, and Sophie Wilson; and great-grandson, Waylon Quesenberry.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Kimberly Holland Swanson Harris; sister, Judy Rogers; and brothers, Jack Holland, Billy Holland, and Danny Holland.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m.., Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Norris Funeral Services, 511 Church Ave., Danville, VA 24541 with Pastor Lance Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Highland Burial Park.
