Brady Lewis Hodges, age 84 of Rocky Mount passed away Monday, December 19, 2022. Brady was born December 3, 1938 a son of the late Posey and Easter Hodges. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Posey, Jr., Nelson (Betty Jo), and Billy Hodges; sisters, Macie, Nadine (Clifton Chitwood), Joyce Young (G.A.); and grandsons, Allen Kirk and Jordan Thornhill. He is survived by his wife, Marie C. Hodges; children, Jeff Hodges (Julia), Donna Chitwood (Bernie), Richard D. Kirk; grandchild, Tracy Clark; great-grandchildren, Taylor Kirk, Hannah Kirk, Rami Abed, Amira Abed, Elijah Clark; grandchild, Stephanie Abed (Robert); along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Hodges graduated from Franklin County High School and worked over 30 years at Ronile and over 15 years at Basset Furniture. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gambling. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Brady’s name to a charity of their choice or to the American Red Cross.
