Brenda B. Newman

Brenda B. Newman, age 74, of Ridgeway, Virginia passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023, at Sovah, Martinsville, Virginia. Brenda was born May 9, 1948, to Lorene Bruton Casey and the late Harold Bruton. Brenda was of the Baptist Faith and a graduate of Drewry Mason High School. She enjoyed shopping, loved poodles especially her companion Buddy. She was known as a very loving person who enjoyed spending time with close friends and family. 2 Timothy 4:7; “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” In addition to her mother, Brenda is survived by her husband Edward R. Newman, Jr. (Eddie); children, Dean Bruton of Ridgeway, Virginia, Tim Newman of South Carolina, and Tracy Newman West of South Carolina; granddaughter, Samantha Bruton of South Carolina and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Martinsville Henry County SPCA, 132 Joseph Martin Highway, Martinsville, Virginia 24112.
