Brenda Gayle Trent, 71, of Roanoke, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Linwood and Dorothy Whitmire.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Jimmy Trent; son, Jimmy Trent III (Amy); brother, Larry Whitmire (Diane); sister-in-law, Kay T. Sowers (Curtis); special granddogs, Lilo, Daisy, and Maggie; and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.
Brenda was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She loved to cook for the family, and she was a known jokester.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 6-8 pm at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Rd. Roanoke, VA 24019; with a Chapel Service there the next day, Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 1:00pm.
