Brenda Lugar

Brenda Chesnut Lugar, age 74, of 1022 East Dolly Ann Drive, Covington, Virginia died Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the Brian Center in Low Moor, Virginia.
Brenda was born May 16, 1949 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Leonard and Virginia Vance Chesnut. She was an insurance agent for BB&T Barger Insurance Company as well as Kinzer Insurance, and was a member of Glen Wilton United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Covington Moose Lodge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Hale, and a brother, Myles Chesnut. She was also preceded in death by brothers- and sisters-in-law, Carol Dyer, Dick Seay, Brenda Wiser, Gary Lugar, and Bill Peterson.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Edward Lugar of Covington; a son, Tim Lugar of Crestview, FL; brothers-and sisters-in-law, Barbara Seay, Barry and Sandra Lugar, Robert and Brenda Lugar, Linda Lugar Whitson, Sydney Hale, Janet Peterson, and Gary Wiser; two grandchildren, Justin Lugar and Courtney Lugar; a number of nieces and nephews; and a good friend Kaye Middleton.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Pastor Bill Gilliland officiating. Interment will be made at a later date in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
