Brenda Wilkerson Johnson

Brenda Wilkerson Johnson age 81 of Wirtz passed away at her home on Jan 5, 2025, after a short battle with cancer.Born on March 13, 1943, in Wythville VA. Brenda grew up on a farm in Rural Retreat Virginia with her parents Morris and Hellice Wilkerson; and siblings, Carlotta, David, Rhea, Larry, Timothy, William, Regina and Vera Ellen.Brenda and her loving husband Alvin moved to Wirtz Va in 1972 where they raised two children, Rhonda Lynn Johnson and Alvin “Chipper” Johnson. Brenda devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren.Brendas greatest joys came from spending time with family and friends, working in her garden, bowling and the hunt for the next must have antique or clock to add to her collection.Brenda was preceded in death by her Husband Alvin Johnson; and daughter, Rhonda Johnson. She is survived by her son, Chipper (Patti) Johnson; grandchildren Jessica Johnson, Nikki Johnson, AJ Johnson; Great grandchildren Jaylynn Moorman and Jada Holland; Sisters Regina Wilkerson, Vera Ellen Wilkerson; brother William Wilkerson; and Special niece Kelly JohnsonIn Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mount Ivy Christian Church, 5120 Scruggs Road, Moneta, VA 24121.Funeral services will be conducted 2 PM Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Steve Pasley, Minister officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
