Brenda Williams Thornton

Brenda Williams Thornton, 76, passed away on June 21, 2023. She was born on November 25, 1946 in Danville, VA to the late Ruth Brooks Williams and the late Roy William Williams.

Brenda worked as a waitress and a sitter prior to her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter; Patricia Neal McNeely (Mack), Lisa Neal Brown (Mike) sister; Beverly Williams McGregory (Donald) of Chatham, VA., twin sister Linda Williams Ledford (Tony) of Chesterfield, Va., Denise Williams Daniels (Charlie) of Thomasville, NC., grandchildren; Randall Craig Ryals II, Sydney Brown both of Archdale, NC., Mackie McNeely, Misty Rogers both of Ridgeway, VA., great-grandchild; Meagan McNeill (Charles) of Cheyene, WY., great great grandchildren; Kaylee, Cameron McNeill, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a grandson; Matthew Allen Ryals.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 7:00PM to 8:30PM at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA.

A funeral will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at 3:00PM at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA with Pastor Mike McDowell and Dr. Lance Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery, 13150 Chatham Road, Java, VA 24565.
