Brenda Wright

Brenda Wright, 75, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024. She was born August 2, 1948, in Waynesboro, Virginia, to the late Charles Baxter Speakman and Katherine Hoskins Speakman.Brenda was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ridgeway and an administrative assistant at Patrick Henry Community College. She loved dancing, playing Rook, and sunny days at the beach.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Frankie Wright and brother Ronald Speakman.She is survived by her son Tommy (April) Wright; sister, Arlene Hurt; brothers, Charles (Heidi) Speakman Jr., Barry Speakman; and grandchildren, Alyssa Wright and Hannah Elgin.The funeral will be Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Ridgeway, Virginia. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Ridgeway, Virginia. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
