Bruce Victor Link Obituary Bruce Victor Link, 81, of Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, December 9, 2024.Bruce was born on Monday, April 5, 1943, to the late Victor and Violet Grecu Link in Wayne County, Michigan. He has lived in Virginia since the early 90s. He spent his younger years working on hot rod cars, leading to his career in the automotive industry. He was a true Ford enthusiast. Bruce moved from his love of cars to Sea Ray boats. He spent time navigating the rivers of Ohio and cruising the waters of Smith Mountain Lake where he finally settled with his family.Bruce always enjoyed time with friends and their many trips to Freeport Bahamas where he truly felt like he belonged. He had a gypsy soul. In his later years, he enjoyed fixing homes and flipping them, which many know was his passion. He loved his visits to the YMCA where he picked up his love of pickleball. One of his greatest joys was watching his grandchildren grow and hearing about their many interests. He loved his visits with them and the time spent as a family. He fought a hard battle with dementia in his final years, but it never completely took him away from his family.He is survived by former wife and friend, Julie Link; stepdaughter, Jaclyn Keith and her husband, Todd; and two grandchildren, Emma and Carter Keith.The family will have a private memorial celebrating his life.In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Smith Mountain Lake YMCA.
