Bruce Waldo Burnette

Bruce Waldo Burnette, age 72 of Keeling, Virginia passed away September 11, 2024 at his residence. Mr. Burnette was born August 20, 1952 in Danville, Virginia to the late Betty Hardy Burnette McLaughlin and the late Waldo Burnette. He was married to Patricia Hunt Burnette, who survives of the residence.

Mr. Burnette retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation as a highway construction inspector. He was an avid animal rescue person, rescuing numerous dogs during his life. He will always be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to everyone who knew him.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by two sons, Brent Burnette and wife Lindsey, and Brian Hamilton and wife Donna; three grandchildren, Brittany, Evelyn, and Violet; and one sister, Ellen Boyd and husband Butch.

The family will hold a private celebration of life service at a later date.
