Callie Maxine Dye
CALLIE MAXINE DYE, 90, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and the faith that guided her life.
Maxine was a devoted Christian whose life was a testament to her unwavering belief and trust in God. Known lovingly by her family as a true prayer warrior, she never hesitated to lift others up in prayer-often offering the longest, most heartfelt prayers. Her family fondly said she had a direct line to God, a reflection of the deep spiritual connection she carried throughout her life.
She found great joy in sharing her faith with others and lived each day with kindness, compassion, and a servant's heart. In her free time, Maxine enjoyed shopping, playing bingo and games with family and friends-moments that created cherished memories for all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving sister Betty Baines, her children Dreama & Terry Neal, Cynthia & Danny Havens, Willis (“Pete”) & Anita Dye, Edith & Pastor Cliff Bowman, James (“Jimmy”) & Teresa Dye; along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her love, wisdom, and enduring faith.
Maxine's legacy of prayer, love, and devotion will live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 29, 2026 at 4:00 P.M. at Bastian Church of God with Pastor Cliff Bowman and Pastor Jason Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 P.M. until service time, 4:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests the memorial donations be made in Maxine’s honor to A Heart For Missions. 6598 Grapefield Rd., Bastian, VA, 24314.
