Cameron O’ Bryan Pace
Cameron O’ Bryan Pace, 24, of Bassett, Virginia, transitioned on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. He was born on August 16, 1999, in Rocky Mount, Virginia, to the late Dwayne E. Hagwood-Smith and Kimberly Pace Holland. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher O’Bryan Pace; his maternal grandparents, James Pace and Betty Mattox; and paternal grandmother, Virginia Hagwood.
Cameron graduated from Bassett High School in 2018 and was an active member of Inner Faith Fellowship Ministries. Despite facing various challenges, he remained committed and determined in his work. He worked at Lowe’s Home Improvement as a Material Handler. Cameron had a passion for video games, fitness, Chick-fil-A, and watching WWE wrestling. He loved spending time with family and friends.
Cameron is survived by his mother, Kimberly Pace Holland; father, Benjamin Holland; paternal grandfather, Glenwood Smith, Sr.; five sisters: Alicia Hagwood, Morganne Holland, Bri Holland, Mikayla Williams (Andrew), and BriAunda Hale; seven brothers: Brandon Pace (Amanda), Calvin Barner, Jr., Terrance Woody, Torrian Woody, Isaiah Holland (Desaray), Nahlejh Phillips, and Isaac Ellison; a host of aunts and uncles, seven nieces, three nephews, and other family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 12:00pm at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel, with Bishop Frank Toney, Jr., and Pastor Angela Toney officiating. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service. The burial will take place at Carver Memorial Gardens in Bassett.
