Carl Brad Hurd

Carl Brad Hurd, 52, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at his residence. He was born on September 18, 1971, to Maynard Hurd and Bonnie R. Hurd.

Carl was of the Christian faith and had a passion for working on cars, drag racing, and riding four-wheelers. He often enjoyed traveling to the mountains of Tennessee and the beach with his fiancée. His two sons held a special place in his heart, and he cherished spending time with them.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two sons, Austin Hurd and Adam Hurd; his brother, Joey Hurd; his fiancée, Diane Lawson; his nephew, T.J. Hurd; a great-niece, Addison; a great-nephew, Jaxon; and good friends, Tony Wright, Angie Wright, and Mike Alley. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
