Carl Jones

Carl David Jones, 83, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away peacefully and entered his heavenly home, on January 28, 2023. Carl was born on August 13, 1939, to the late James and Gladys Jones. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Deloris “Darlene” Jones. Carl retired from Reeds Lumber Co. and was a skilled carpenter. Carl is survived by his son, Darrell (Shelby) Jones, of Shawsville; stepson, Michael Wheeling ,of Christiansburg; granddaughter, Mattie Wheeling, of Christiansburg; brother, James (Elva) Jones, of Riner; sister, Barbara (Wesley) Atkinson, of Christiansburg; several nieces and a nephew. Visitation will be held February 2, 2023, from 11-12:00 P.M. with funeral services following at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, with Hosea Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
